A Free Festival Celebrating Community, Creativity & Climate Action
Green Hustle is back, bringing thousands of people together in Nottingham’s Old Market Square on Saturday, 31 May, for a day of free summer fun. Under this year’s theme, Growing Together, we’ll celebrate everything that connects us—from nature and food to music and shared creativity.
A Celebration of Growth & Possibility
Growing Together is about hope—for people, for ideas, and for a more connected, thriving future. Everything big starts small, and when we nurture our communities, our environment, and each other, amazing things can happen.
It starts with a seed. Let’s plant the future together.

Times might still be hard for many, but we’re determined to put everyone in the driving seat in making a difference and helping our community thrive.” – Adam Pickering, Festival Co-Director

Beyond the festival

Green Hustle isn’t just a one-day event—it leaves a lasting impact:

Permanent green spaces

We’ve helped transform Old Market Square’s planters and beds into thriving, community-led green spaces.

School garden donations

The University of Nottingham’s pop-up garden found a permanent home at Welbeck Primary School, inspiring kids to learn about growing food.

Volunteering & Partnerships

More than 100 partners, community groups, and organizations collaborate to make Green Hustle happen, with hundreds of volunteer hours given each year.
